Join us for our September sundowner to hear from Mark Adams, Associate Principal | Civil Infrastructure, Arup sharing his learnings from global and regional water projects on The Energy Water Nexus! From February to October the WA Branch Committee will host monthly informal networking events in the form of after-work Sundowner drinks. Each month we'll have an interesting topic for discussion and the opportunity to meet and catch up with others working in water. Our sundowners are free for both AWA members and non-members and you are welcome to bring a friend.

Mark Adams, Associate Principal | Civil Infrastructure, Arup
Mark has 30 years’ experience in leadership, project management, design and delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects, having worked with a diverse range of public and private sector organisations in Australia, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and the UK. Mark's technical and project experience spans a wide range of industries, including site development, airports, rail, highways, and industrial projects.

Mark has led a number of key global projects including Changi East Singapore Master Civil Consultancy, Zayed International Airport - Abu Dhabi, Olympic Park Infrastructure - London and most recently Oakajee Strategic Industrial Area (SIA) and Port in Western Australia. Mark leads a number of WA water projects for Water Corporation and Busselton Water and is responsible for managing and strengthening Arup's WA water business.
In the context of the Global Energy Transformation and the associated emerging markets, WA's unique position as an energy superpower comes to the fore. Water and Green Energy are inextricably linked so the challenges and opportunities for WA's water sector needs to be understood. Mark will talk about learnings from global and regional water projects and, more recently, his local experience in leading strategic industrial area infrastructure projects and the associated water challenges and opportunities.
