Join us for our May sundowner to hear from Dr Kate Riddell of Marsden Jacob Associates about "Centring your project in a bigger picture" a wide-angle view of your strategic impact"

From February to October the WA Branch Committee will host monthly informal networking events in the form of after-work Sundowner drinks. Each month we'll have an interesting topic for discussion and the opportunity to meet and catch up with others working in water. Our sundowners are free for both AWA members and non-members and you are welcome to bring a friend.

Dr Kate Riddell, Marsden Jacob Associates
With a PhD in Political Science and International Relations from UWA, Kate joined Marsden Jacob Associates in 2022. After 12 years with the WA Government and more than 15 years’ professional experience in senior research, policy and strategy roles in government and research, Kate has developed, and provides evidence-based advice and recommended solutions across a range of social policy areas.

Social impact assessment and effective stakeholder management & communication are important to securing support for projects. When it comes to this we tend to focus on our immediate sphere(s) of influence, often unaware that a project’s impact can be more broadly experienced. A wide-angle approach that aligns anticipated project benefits with a client’s broader strategic goals and objectives, could enhance your success in securing their support. Kate will provide her insights on Centring your project in a bigger picture: a wide-angle view of your strategic impact.
