WA Sundowner May 2022

From January to October the WA Branch Committee will host monthly informal networking events in the form of after-work Sundowner drinks. Each month we'll have an interesting topic for discussion and the opportunity to meet and catch up with other AWA members and non-members. Events are free, with a bar available at the venue to purchase your own drinks. Food is also available to purchase. We look forward to seeing you for a casual gathering of like-minded water sector professionals!

Our sundowners are for both members and non-members and you are welcome to bring a friend. Pre-registration is not required, you can simply turn up! Please ensure you sign-in via our Attendance Register available on arrival.

Guest Speaker
Our May guest speaker will provide an insight to project management as a Young Water Professional. Japleen Grewal is a Project Manager and YWP with private and public sector engineering experience. Her career so far has included the full asset lifecycle - from planning through to delivering and operating water assets. When she's not out trying to spot water assets on road trips across WA, she's usually found having a long conversation about food or psychology. Come and hear about her career experiences so far and an insight into the challenges and rewards of life as a YWP.  

CovidSafe Guidelines
The Australian Water Association has closely followed Government recommendations to develop COVIDSafe Guidelines for AWA events going forward. These guidelines will be in place at this event and have been developed to ensure attendee health and safety. Your support is also essential to keep this event COVIDSafe. We ask that delegates observe good hygiene and physical distancing at the event, where possible. If you are feeling unwell, please do not attend the event.
