WA Sundowner February 2023

From February to October the WA Branch Committee will host monthly informal networking events in the form of after-work Sundowner drinks. Each month we'll have an interesting topic for discussion and the opportunity to meet and catch up with other AWA members and non-members.

Guest Speaker
Our February guest speaker is Russell Martin, Senior Principal Hydrogeologist and National Water Sector lead at Wallbridge Gilbert Aztec (WGA).

Russell's specialist expertise in Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR) has been applied to projects across Australia and internationally – from Botswana to New Zealand. Russell will be sharing some insights on current directions in MAR, based on his recent involvement in research reviews for the US EPA and the 2022 International MAR Symposium held in Long Beach, California.  

Would your organisation like to host a 2023 Sundowner?
In 2023 we're offering our Corporate Members the opportunity to host a sundowner at your office/premises. As a host you will have the opportunity for a 5 minute business pitch and the opportunity to provide a speaker or the AWA will source a guest speaker and in return, all we ask is that you provide us with a space for around 30-40 people with some drinks and nibbles. Express your hosting interest here. 

COVIDSafe Guidelines
The Australian Water Association has closely followed Government recommendations to develop COVIDSafe Guidelines for AWA events going forward. These guidelines will be in place at this event and have been developed to ensure attendee health and safety. Your support is also essential to keep this event COVIDSafe. We ask that delegates observe good hygiene and physical distancing at the event, where possible. If you are feeling unwell, please do not attend the event.

Our sundowners are free for both members and non-members and you are welcome to bring a friend.
