Join us for our August sundowner to hear from Peter Spencer (Water Corporation) and Andres Mansilla (SMEC) sharing some insights from their respective Careers in Water journeys. From February to October the WA Branch Committee will host monthly informal networking events in the form of after-work Sundowner drinks. Each month we'll have an interesting topic for discussion and the opportunity to meet and catch up with others working in water. Our sundowners are free for both AWA members and non-members and you are welcome to bring a friend.

Parking	Street parking is available - please observe signs (hourly rates apply). Alternatively CPP Parking is available on Terrace Road.
Registration	This is a free event however registration is required - see below to register. A bar service is available to purchase drinks and catering.

August Guest Speakers

Peter Spencer, Senior Principal Engineer, Process Engineering, Water Corporation
Peter is an experienced engineering leader in the water utilities sector. In a career spanning over 30 years, Peter has worked across water and wastewater treatment in both operational and design roles. Peter is a champion of research and development, a facilitator of industry/academic partnerships and a supporter of professional development through Engineers Australia and the Australian Water Association.

Peter is a past WA Branch President and currently sits on the WA Branch Committee.

Andres Mansilla, Senior Engineer - Water Infrastructure, SMEC
Andres is a passionate, proactive and detail-oriented lead process engineer. Andres is a member of the IChemE at chartered level and a committee member of both IChemE and AWA, where he recently joined the WA YWP Subcommittee. Andres specialises in the technical design and project delivery of water/wastewater treatment infrastructure from feasibility to detail design phases; this applies to both the municipal and industrial (Oil and Gas) sectors. Andres has a wide range of interstate and international work experience including UK, PNG, Australia, Saudi Arabia and South Africa.

Peter and Andres will share their respective Careers in Water journeys and provide an overview of their current roles. We hope you can join us to expand your water network.

This sundowner is a great opportunity to meet some of our new Branch and YWP Subcommittee members in a casual setting.
