WA Sundowner August 2022

From January to October the WA Branch Committee will host monthly informal networking events in the form of after-work Sundowner drinks. Each month we'll have an interesting topic for discussion and the opportunity to meet and catch up with other AWA members and non-members. Events are free, with a bar available at the venue to purchase your own drinks. Food is also available to purchase. We look forward to seeing you for a casual gathering of like-minded water sector professionals!

Guest Speaker
Dr Fabiana Tessele from Tessele Consultants Pty Ltd will be talking about the journey towards a Circular Economy and Net Zero in the Australian red meat industry at our August sundowner. 

Fabiana is a highly experienced chemical/process engineer with over 25 years of experience. Fabiana's leadership in water and circular economies is widely recognised through many years working with the Australian Red Meat industry to reduce their climate impacts and close the resources loop. Fabiana was awarded the 2021 Western Australian Water Professional of the Year Award. Come and hear about her work with industry and the importance of looking beyond cutting carbon and buying offsets to reach Net Zero.  

COVIDSafe Guidelines
The Australian Water Association has closely followed Government recommendations to develop COVIDSafe Guidelines for AWA events going forward. These guidelines will be in place at this event and have been developed to ensure attendee health and safety. Your support is also essential to keep this event COVIDSafe. We ask that delegates observe good hygiene and physical distancing at the event, where possible. If you are feeling unwell, please do not attend the event.
