Join us for an informative evening focused on professional development for water professionals. Expect a technical presentation following by panel discussion, including Q&A and an opportunity to network with peers in the industry whilst enjoying refreshments after work.
The health of a river has a correlation to the health of the surrounding environment and the people that live in that area. With the human body, healthy arteries contribute greatly to a healthy body. Similarly, healthy rivers support the health of the cities surrounding them and the communities that live on them.
This professional development event will seek to educate (young/ young at heart) water professionals on the science of river health. Too often river health issues are approached with an engineering toolkit. Instead, ecology, landscape architecture, policy and science offer different perspectives that engineers ought to consider when seeking to either improve or maintain river health.
