Due to next Thursday 22 September being declared a national public holiday in honour of Queen Elizabeth II, our scheduled TAS Where the Waters Meet Conference will be unable to go ahead on this day. We have moved it to the day before, Wednesday 21 September.
The Australian Water Association’s Tasmanian Branch is excited to announce the 2022 Where the Waters Meet Conference will be held at Wrest Point Casino on Wednesday 21 September. This year's conference will feature presentations around the theme of:
An era of investment – It’s more than money.
Event Details
Prior to the conference; there will be a Conference Breakfast in the morning, supported by Pitt & Sherry.
We are also hosting a YWP Learning Experience and Social Event from 6:30pm the evening before the Conference Day, Tuesday 20 September at the Wrest Point Green Room. The AWA YWP Tas team is bringing together a panel of industry leaders to share their insights on great presenting, effective networking and tips on how to ask for what you want!
Registration is required for both the Breakfast and Learning Experience.

Accommodation and Venue
Wrest Point has provided a discounted rate for Conference Delegates. Please click here to access the dedicated booking page.
Please note Wrest Point are currently undertaking renovations at the property. Reception has temporarily been re-located to the Exhibition Foyer. Entry to the property will be across the footbridge into the Conference Centre or Boardwalk Gaming entrance. Access is still available to accommodation rooms as well as the Derwent Room.
COVIDSafe Event Guidelines
The Australian Water Association has closely followed Government recommendations to develop COVIDSafe Guidelines for AWA events going forward. These guidelines will be in place at this event and have been developed to ensure attendee health and safety. Your support is also essential to keep this event COVIDSafe. We ask that delegates observe good hygiene and physical distancing at the event, where possible. If you are feeling unwell, please do not attend the event. Please email events@awa.asn.au at least 24 hours prior to the event if you are unable to attend due to illness. Under these circumstances a transfer of your registration to a colleague will be accepted at no cost. If Government restrictions impact your ability to attend, or AWA's ability to hold the event, an AWA team member will be in touch to discuss your registration.
