TAS Mentoring Program 2023-24

Ever wished you had someone to talk to about your career? Or keen to make a difference to an up-and-coming water professional whilst developing your coaching & leadership skills? Then sign up to our Tasmanian mentoring program for 2023/24!

In this facilitated program you will have the opportunity to be paired with a mentor/mentee through our specialist selection process.   You will be guided and supported throughout the program to get the most out of your relationship. This program is for Tasmanian mentors and mentees, however there may be opportunities for interstate pairing.

How does the Mentoring Program work?

1. Register for the program by (see application link below). You will be asked to answer a few questions for us to help understand how best the program can help you. This information will be shared with mentors/mentees to assist in the matching process. Please ensure you do not include any sensitive career information that you do not wish to have shared. 
   
2. Mentor/Mentee pairing will be completed and you will be advised of your pairing. 
   
   3. Opportunity to participate in a meet & greet event on Wednesday 16 August 2023 in Launceston.  You will have an opportunity to meet with a range of different water professionals who have registered to be in the program. This is an informal event and a potential opportunity for mentors or mentees to meet in a group environment. (event pending number of available participants).
   
   4. Mentoring pairs agree on how often you will meet and how you will contact each other. The AWA will send out information on occasion to help spark discussion points or ideas. The program runs for one year but your relationship doesn’t have to end there - some mentoring relationships last a lifetime!

Mentees for this program must be AWA members (professional or concession). For students, if your university is an education member you may be eligible for complimentary membership - contact Lynette to check.

Program Fee  $50.00 (will be invoiced once pairing complete).
