Join your SA Water Professional peers and the YWP Committee to refine your communication skills, in the “Public Speaking” Workshop. This workshop will have a focus on communication and its significance in today's competitive job market by developing public speaking skills, including techniques for delivering impactful presentations, structuring messages, overcoming nerves, and engaging with the audience.
By building your public speaking confidence, young water professionals will be able to distinguish themselves by creating an image aligned with their goals and values, skills, expertise, and career aspirations as well as effectively communicating their personal and professional profile in any setting.
The “Public Speaking” workshop will be led by our Keynote Speaker David Griggs, from the Speakers Studio. David Griggs is a speaking coach and business pitch consultant with a difference. A former National Institute of Dramatic Atrs (NIDA) actor, David combines his own experience in the theatre and operating a successful family company to help business people access their 'inner performer'.
David works with leaders, CEO’s and other professionals to transform them into persuasive and inspiring speakers. He is a Past National President and Life Member of the Professional Speakers Association of Australia and in 2007 David was inducted in The Australian Speakers Hall of Fame. This will be an interactive workshop, where David will engage with the audience and share insights on being confident and effective when delivering meetings, pitches or presentations.
The workshop will wrap up with some time to network over drinks and canapes with your fellow water professionals.
This is a popular event and usually sells out so be sure to register now. The YWP Committee look forward to seeing you there!
