The Young Water Professionals of the AWA's SA Branch are excited to invite you to the fourth of the 2022 SA Sundowner Series, returning to The King’s Head, for after-work drinks, interesting guest speakers and informal networking and discussion held on the Thursday 20th October 2022 from 5:15pm to 6:30pm.
The SA AWA YWP aims to empower emerging leaders to build water industry networks, grow their knowledge and sharpen their leadership skills in both formal and informal settings. Join us for regular after-work Sundowner drinks and informal networking hosted every other month by the AWA SA Young Water Professionals. Special guest speakers will be feature throughout the series to explore a wide range of topics through a short presentation and discussion. These events are open to anyone with an interest in the water industry and present an opportunity to meet and catch up with other professionals especially during National Water Week 17th-23rd October 2022

Guest Speaker: Anthony Matulick ; Osmoflo General Manager Operations
Topic – Water and Beer
Osmoflo has been working with Coopers since 1996, starting with a small reverse osmosis (RO) plant to provide boiler feed for the boilers at the plant site at their old site in Leabrook, to now being the principal water supplier since 2001 at the current site at Regency Park. Osmoflo treat bore water for the beer production at the Coopers Plant, treating 3 million litres per day in a reverse osmosis (RO) plant with 2 train configuration. The bore water has salinity of 6,000 mg/L and reduce by 99%, to product water with salinity about 60 mg/L, that contributes to beer production of around 70 million litres of beer made by Coopers every year. Come and learn more about the impact of water quality on the beer making process…while drinking beer!

Anthony Matulick is Osmoflo General Manager Operations, with a Chemical / Process Engineer background specialising in Water Treatment, with 18 years professional experience working around the world. He has vast experience in delivering engineering solutions to complex and difficult problems, across Australia, Chile, the Middle East, working on water systems ranging from the size of a suitcase, to 160 MLD water treatment plant.
