SA Amazing Race 2022

Come and join us for the end of year amazing race event to be held on Thursday 1 December 2022.

Proudly sponsored by Aurecon, the SA amazing race is back on for 2022!

Gear up as teams will need to make their way through iconic locations and pathways in the northern part of the CBD while solving clues and clearing obstacles to claim victory as the winners. The team that has the quickest adjusted time at the end of the race will be awarded the winner’s prize, which will be presented at the final networking location.

Race details

Date: Thursday 1 December 2022

Time: Arrive at 4.15pm for a run through, officially starting the race at 4.30pm

Start location: Adelaide Botanic Gardens, meet at the lawn in front of the Santos Museum of Economic Botany (F9 on the Adelaide Botanic Gardens map)

What to bring: Comfortable walking shoes, a hat, sunscreen, a phone to take pictures (as a part of race challenges) and a water bottle

Networking event details

Location: To be provided through clues along the way 

Time: Expecting teams to arrive before 6.30pm

Food and drinks will be provided as part of the purchased ticket 

Teams

Teams are 3-5 people and will be allocated by the committee prior to the race. If you have a team of 3 to 5 people before the event, send an email to Florence.Choo@sawater.com.au with the group to ensure you can run the race together!

COVIDSafe Event Guidelines:  
The Australian Water Association has closely followed Government recommendations to develop COVIDSafe Guidelines for AWA events going forward. These guidelines will be in place at this event and have been developed to ensure attendee health and safety. Your support is also essential to keep this event COVIDSafe. We ask that delegates observe good hygiene and physical distancing at the event, where possible. If you are feeling unwell, please do not attend the event. Please email events@awa.asn.au at least 24 hours prior to the event if you are unable to attend due to illness. Under these circumstances a transfer of your registration to a colleague will be accepted at no cost. If Government restrictions impact your ability to attend, or AWA's ability to hold the event, an AWA team member will be in touch to discuss your registration.
