SA Sundowner October 2024 - Water Markets and the Murray-Darling Basin Plan

The Young Water Professionals of the SA AWA Branch are excited to invite you to their fifth 2024 SA Sundowner event, returning to Electra House, to Meet the YWP Committee over an informal knowledge sharing discussion, and Networking over after-work drinks on Thursday 24th October 2024 from 5:15pm to 6:30pm.

Topic – Water Markets and the Murray-Darling Basin Plan

In this session, Ben will explain one of Australia's most ambitious agreements, the Murray-Darling Basin Plan. He will discuss its objectives, implementation, and the impact of recent Commonwealth legislative changes on water markets. Ben will explain how these legislative and policy developments play out in water markets and what challenges (and opportunities) this presents for irrigators and regional communities.
