Grow your career in water as part of the 2024 AWA QLD Mentoring Program!
AWA's Mentoring Program pairs early-career water professionals with established water sector colleagues to support them in developing skills, knowledge, and technical expertise. For Mentors, the program is an opportunity to further develop leadership and communication skills whilst investing in the next generation of water leaders.
Registrations for the Mentoring Program for 2024 have now closed. The program will commence with a launch event on Thursday 14 March 2024. The program is available across Queensland and we encourage regionally based water professionals to submit applications for mentor and mentee roles. The launch event will be streamed online making the program accessible for all and we will provide a number of virtual catchups throughout the program. The mentoring commitment for the 2024 program is for nine months, through until November 2024, with an option for your mentoring relationship to continue informally beyond that time.
Our sponsor, the International Water Centre at Griffith University, will help you understand how to navigate a meaningful mentor/mentee relationship and get the most from the experience.
