The Queensland Young Water Professionals (YWP) Mentoring Program is well underway. This event is a follow-up to the program to encourage continuation and development of current mentoring partnerships and provides an opportunity to share lessons learned between mentoring pairings. The event will be streamed online to allow regional mentors and mentees to participate.
Those who aren't current involved with the 2021/22 mentoring program are invited to attend for general mentoring knowledge and networking opportunities, and to learn more about the AWA YWP mentoring program.
Thank you to Griffith University's Professional Learning Hub and International WaterCentre for supporting this event.
How can mentoring help me?
Mentoring is an important influence in professional development and constitutes a rewarding bilateral relationship. While mentees gain much needed guidance, encouragement and access to invaluable experience, mentors can benefit from learning new perspectives and developing leadership and communication skills. See here for more information on our previous mentoring programs and testimonies from previous Mentoring pairs.
