From past to the present, Barangaroo is a place of spiritual and cultural significance.
The Australian Water Association YWPs are excited to be working with The Department of Planning and Environment to deliver an Aboriginal Cultural Walking Tour at Barangaroo Reserve.
The tour will be led by a team of Aboriginal educators, immersing you in the native history of Sydney Harbour, the importance of the land and water to Australia’s Aboriginal heritage and its significance to the clans of the Eora Nation that once lived where Sydney now stands. The tour will extend throughout the six-hectare headland of Barangaroo Reserve, taking in the water views and native Australian trees and shrubs that are a feature of the Reserve.
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the strong connection Aboriginal people have to water, while appreciating the natural beauty of Barangaroo.
Following the tour everyone is welcome to have a drink at the Hotel Palisade
