Vietwater'22: a big opportunity for Australian technologies and innovations in November
Vietwater’22 is back from 9 to 11 November 2022 at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Centre (SECC), District 7, Ho Chi Minh City. Organised by Informa Markets Vietnam and hosted by Vietnam Water Supply & Sewerage Association (VWSA), the trade event offers a unique business opportunity for all companies who work in, or plan to enter, water and wastewater treatment in Vietnam and South East Asia.
Australian Water Association, along with our project partners in Vietnam, are supporting Vietnam’s water sector through a series of initiatives designed to showcase the depth and breadth of Australia’s water expertise and technological innovations.
Vietwater is the largest trade event for water resources, water and wastewater treatment in Vietnam, expected to attract more than 14,000 attendees, including 500 exhibitors from over 25 countries, including eight international pavilions.
AWA will again host the Australian Pavilion at Vietwater, providing organisations with the opportunity to showcase their water capabilities and technological innovations with dedicated prime location space within the Pavilion. In addition to the Australian Pavilion, delegates will have the opportunity to attend networking functions, workshops and meet with potential clients.
Vietwater’15, Vietwater’16, Vietwater’17, Vietwater’18 and Vietwater’19 were highly successful events, with among the largest Australian delegations to visit Vietnam, featuring hundreds of combined Australian Water Association members in attendance and many B2B connections and deals made.
With international travel now reopened, this is an exciting opportunity for Australia’s water and wastewater innovation and technology leaders to return to the international exhibition stage to promote their products and expertise in one of Australia’s most promising international markets.
The Australian Government is currently unlocking more opportunities for Australians to do further business in Vietnam’s $340 billion economy with the release of the Australia-Vietnam Enhanced Economic Engagement Strategy late last year. This strategy aims for the two countries to become top ten trading partners and to double the two-way investment.
AWA will also be supporting its members with the continuation of the Vietnam Australia Water Innovation Online Trade Platform in partnership with VWSA, and via offers and connections to help grow your business overseas leading up to Vietwater. More information for current and planned activities can be found here.

Hear what some of our members say about our previous delegations to Vietwater:
"ANZ was privileged to be involved with the Australian delegation to the Vietwater conference in 2017. I was very impressed by the Australian Water Association’s commitment to connecting delegates with opportunities in the Vietnamese water sector. The Australian Pavilion at the conference stood out and facilitated a high degree of engagement between exhibitors and visitors to the conference. Well done to the Association team!" - ANZ Bank
"The success of the Vietnam program for our business was phenomenal. I base this on the level of business and interest to date but as importantly, the people organising the events. Great kudos goes to the staff at the Australian Water Association for their efforts before, during and after the event." - LuminUltra
"The event was extremely professionally run and well organised by the Australian Water Association. The booth position was also outstanding which led to many business opportunities. We came to Vietnam very green and with limited contacts. We now have a better understanding of the local market and opportunities moving forward." - Primus Line
"Not only did we come away with three offers from overseas companies for sole distribution rights to sell our desalination unit overseas, but we also had half a dozen serious requests for quotes for treatment of their water supplies, all varying in different sizes of application." - Saltfree Desalination
"We have really appreciated the support from the AWA in growing our international presence. Their inclusion of culture and language at country briefings, and hosting social gatherings at outbound events, demonstrates an understanding of the importance of building strong personal relationships, which are the foundation of long-term business relationships". - Ovarro
