The Australian Water Association (AWA) and Water Services Association of Australia (WSAA) have a long-standing partnership and have been working together for decades to deliver our industry insights, education, benchmarking, and networking opportunities for the water sector.
Since joining AWA as CEO, Corinne Cheeseman and Adam Lovell (Executive Director, WSAA) have been meeting monthly over breakfast to share and discuss areas to collaborate and the renewal of AWA and WSAA’s longstanding partnership.
Last week AWA and WSAA held a joint Board meeting, where they discussed several new areas to work together to provide greater benefit for all members.
There are a number of areas in common that the Associations have agreed in principle to increase collaboration, including indigenous engagement, customer experience, training and development, safety and wellbeing and diversity and inclusion.
Carmel Krogh, President of Australian Water Association said “With our relationship stronger than ever, we will deliver more value for our members in the key areas that need focus. Our continued collaboration and commitment with both Associations will support our sector to be successful now and for the future”.
Roch Cheroux, Chair of Water Services Association of Australian said “Continuing to work together and leverage off the strong foundations that both Associations have established, will help improve the industry’s performance and services for our customers and communities”.
A Partnership Agreement will be finalised between the Associations soon to create and deliver more benefits for our members and the communities we serve.
