Western Australian (WA) law firm Kott Gunning is turning 100 this year and is celebrating with the appointment of Emma Leys as managing partner.
As a provider of legal services to the water industry in WA, Kott Gunning has a long history of representing government and statutory corporation clients and has gained invaluable insight into the legal requirements and the legislative framework within which the industry operates.
Over the past century, Kott Gunning has developed longstanding client relationships with corporations, state government departments, local governments and listed public companies.
Leys said she is keen to continue the firm’s tradition of building and valuing strong relationships, within the firm, with clients, and with the charities Kott Gunning supports.
“Many of our clients have been with the firm for decades and are an extremely important part of our history," Leys said.
"We put a lot of value on and take a lot of pride in those relationships.
"Gunning’s 100-year milestone is largely thanks to the strength of those relationships and the values of our team.”
Kott Gunning was established in 1919 and is one of the longest operating independent legal practices in WA.
