The Tasmanian Branch of the Australian Water Association communicates local water industry issues to its members & stakeholders through regular forums, networking opportunities and newsletter.

The Branch delivers a variety of events and programs including Technical & One Day Seminars, an annual state conference, “TasWater” and a Gala Dinner / Debate.

In 2012 the Branch will commence an awards program in line the AWA National Excellence Awards.

TWEMA 2011

The 2011 Tasmanian Water Environment Merit Award was presented by His Excellency, the Governor of Tasmania, Justice Peter Underwood at a luncheon on Monday December 19.

The 2011 winner was Hydro Tasmania for their project - Sustainable Low Lake Management in Hydro Tasmania's Lakes
