The Australian water industry is facing a significant skills challenge requiring both recruitment and retention strategies. The water industry would encounter serious workforce loss in the medium to long term future unless there was an explicit attempt to transfer tacit knowledge and consequently retain skills and knowledge within the industry.
This Mentoring program will be an effective way to develop skills via the transfer of knowledge from experienced to less-experienced personnel. The program is an annual event with the launch held early in the first quarter of the year. More information.
