AWA SUBMISSION TO NSW INQUIRY INTO DAM ADEQUACY

The NSW Legislative Council’s Standing Committee on State Development has called for submissions to its Inquiry into the Adequacy of Water Storages in NSW. AWA’s NSW Branch has prepared a submission that has been endorsed by the Executive of the Association.

NATIONAL WATER COMMISSION AMENDMENT BILL 2012

The
National Water Commission’s legislation mandated that an audit of the
Commission role be undertaken by the end of 2011 with a view to determining if
the Commission should continue to operate in its current role if at all, and if
so, whether changes in its function are required. The Australian Water
Association provided the following submission to the Environment and
Communications Legislation Committee in respect of the National Water
Commission Amendment Bill 2012.
AWA has previously spoken in support of the continuation of the National
Water Commission and accordingly is pleased to support this Bill.
