Outbound delegations: Indonesia

The Australian Water Association is supporting the Australian Government's objectives for increased access to safe drinking water in Indonesia through the Kemitraan Indonesia Australia untuk Infrastructure (KIAT) Program.

KIAT is a partnership between the Governments of Australia and Indonesia to support sustainable and inclusive economic growth through improved access to infrastructure for all people. KIAT works with government and civil society, providing technical assistance to improve infrastructure policy, planning and delivery. KIAT also works with sub-national governments to improve the quality of infrastructure spending and planning.

Water and Sanitation is one of the KIAT focus areas and the KIAT Facility is working with the Government of Indonesia to improve local level regulatory frameworks, to raise the performance of sub-national water and sanitation investments, and to examine policy and regulatory options for the efficient management and operation of water facilities.

Further information on KIAT is available here with further information on the water and sanitation focus area available here.

A bidder prequalification process for an upcoming tender on the Palembang City Sanitation Project (PCSP) has recently been advertised. Further information is available at this link
